The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna has released the notification for Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026. The examination is conducted for teaching eligibility at the Secondary level, Classes 9–10, and Senior Secondary level, Classes 11–12. Age Limit

Eligibility / Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess the required educational qualification for the selected subject and paper.
  • For Paper I — Secondary Level, Classes 9–10, candidates generally require a Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks and B.Ed., or a Master's Degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed.
  • A four-year B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. qualification may also be accepted for Paper I, subject to the official subject-wise rules.
  • For Paper II — Senior Secondary Level, Classes 11–12, candidates generally require a Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. or an equivalent prescribed qualification.
  • A Master's Degree with 55% marks and a three-year B.Ed.-M.Ed. qualification may also be accepted for Paper II, subject to the official notification.
  • The subject selected in the application must match the subject studied at graduation or post-graduation level.
