Eligibility Criteria

TET Primary Teacher
Classes 1 to 5
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from an NCTE-recognised institution along with BTC, B.El.Ed. or an equivalent teacher-training qualification. A minimum of 50% marks in graduation or the relevant training programme may be required as per applicable rules.
TET Upper Primary Teacher
Classes 6 to 8
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks, or 45% marks wherever permitted under applicable rules, along with B.Ed., BTC, B.El.Ed. or an equivalent teacher-training qualification.

Primary Teacher Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree from an NCTE-recognised institution.
  • BTC, B.El.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification.
  • Minimum marks requirement as prescribed by the applicable rules.
