Recruitment Overview
Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh has released the official notification for Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026. A total of 100 regular Staff Nurse posts will be filled through direct recruitment on the basis of a Computer Based Test (CBT). Age Limit
Age will be calculated as on 01 July 2026.
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 40 Years
Age relaxation is applicable to eligible categories as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates of Uttar Pradesh: Maximum 5 years relaxation.
- Eligible Divyang candidates: Up to 15 years relaxation in the maximum age limit as prescribed.
- Eligible Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per applicable government rules.
- Eligible permanent Uttar Pradesh Government employees with the prescribed service: Up to 5 years relaxation as applicable.
Eligibility / Qualification
Candidates must fulfill the prescribed educational and registration requirements by the last date of application.
Option 1: B.Sc Nursing
- B.Sc Nursing (4-year course) from an Indian Nursing Council / State Medical Faculty recognised institute or university.
- OR B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic) (2-year course) from an Indian Nursing Council recognised institute/university.
- Candidate must be registered as Nurse & Midwife with the State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council.
Option 2: GNM
- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an Indian Nursing Council recognised Institute / Board / Council.
- Candidate must be registered as Nurse & Midwife with the State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospital having at least 50 beds after acquiring the prescribed educational qualification.

Merit will be prepared based on the prescribed qualifying marks and examination performance. In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks, merit will be decided on the basis of age, with the older candidate being placed higher in the merit list.
